36 Hours in San Diego for The New York Times

It was pretty amazing to spend 36 hours exploring my own city, rediscovering all that it has to offer.

I’ve always marveled at the tourists here in San Diego — it’s a strange thought that they save up their precious vacation days to come to this place that I call home.

Here are some of my favorites from the two days exploring SD.

Homeless Court for Voice of San Diego

I had the opportunity for the second time in a couple of years to photograph San Diego’s “homeless court,” a special set of court proceedings for the city’s homeless that affords them an opportunity to minimize or dismiss charges after serving time in a variety of social programs.

Here’s the story from Voice of San Diego’s Kelly Bennett.

San Diego Sockers for San Diego Magazine

Had a really fun time shooting this photo essay for San Diego Magazine about the San Diego Sockers — one of the only sports franchises in our fair city that can seem to win championships. Here are some of my favorites.
